Q: How do you integrate mindfulness and self-care into your coaching programs?A: Mindfulness and self-care are at the heart of my coaching programs because I believe true wellness goes far beyond just diet and exercise. For me, mindfulness is about helping my clients become more aware of their bodies, habits, and how they feel each day. I encourage them to slow down, check in with themselves, and listen to what their bodies need. This might mean practicing mindful eating, tuning into hunger cues, or taking a few deep breaths to ground themselves before a meal or workout. It%u2019s about creating space for them to reconnect with themselves and recognizing that wellness is as much mental and emotional as it is physical.Self-care is a key pillar in my programs. I see it as a non-negotiable part of health, especially for women in midlife who are often juggling so much. I encourage my clients to prioritize small but meaningful self-care routines, whether it%u2019s a morning walk, a few minutes of journaling, or setting aside time to unwind and recharge. It%u2019s about finding practices that help them feel centered and supported rather than overwhelmed.Incorporating mindfulness and self-care into my programs helps clients create sustainable, nurturing routines that don%u2019t feel like a chore. It%u2019s about empowering them to see wellness as a journey of self-love and balance, not just a checklist. I want them to view taking care of themselves as an act of respect and love, and when they do, they%u2019re more likely to stay committed and feel fulfilled. Q: What role does cooking play in your approach to health and wellness?A: Cooking plays a huge role in my approach to health and wellness. I believe that cooking is one of the most powerful ways to take control of our health because we get to choose fresh, organic, non-toxic ingredients and make meals that are nourishing, balanced, and delicious.I love experimenting with colorful, seasonal foods, and I truly try to %u201ccount colors, not calories.%u201d When I%u2019m in the kitchen, I get to be creative and focus on making meals that are vibrant, full of nutrients, and tailored to how I want to feel. Q: How do you maintain a balance between your professional responsibilities and personal life?A: Maintaining a balance between my professional responsibilities and personal life is something I work on daily, and it has become a significant priority for me. With a career focused on health and wellness, I try to lead by example and set boundaries that allow me to fully show up for my clients while also making time for my family, personal interests, and, of course, self-care.One of the most important strategies for me is being intentional with my time. I make sure to carve out specific hours for work and family, and I do my best to stay present in each role. When I%u2019m with my family, I put away work, turn off notifications, and give them my full attention. When I%u2019m working, I stay focused and use that time to connect with my clients and give them my best.I also prioritize self-care as a non-negotiable part of my day. Whether it%u2019s a workout, a quiet walk, or simply some time to recharge, I%u2019ve found that keeping my own cup full allows me to give more to both my clients and my family. It%u2019s not always easy, and there are definitely days that feel out of balance, but I%u2019ve learned that balance isn%u2019t about perfection.44 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 62
