Q: Fantesca has grown to produce thousands of cases annually. What are some of your favorite aspects of the winemaking process?A: I love how we can make wine together as a family. Each year is different%u2014like capturing history in a bottle. Making wine is farming first, where weather, soil, and the timing of the harvest are reflected in each vintage. We%u2019ve had multiple generations at the sorting table, working side by side, just sharing stories. It%u2019s a gift!Q: After decades in a corporate setting, what did you find most challenging%u2014and rewarding%u2014about transitioning to entrepreneurship?A: Great question. Honestly, I never thought of myself as an entrepreneur%u2014it%u2019s just how I was raised. My dad is the ultimate entrepreneur, and I%u2019m just a shadow of his capabilities. I was an %u201cintrapreneur%u201d at Best Buy, creating the Communications Team, launching Public, Investor, and Government Relations, and founding the Best Buy Foundation. I always thought everyone approached risks like I do, but as I managed staff over the years, I learned that%u2019s not the case. I can%u2019t imagine being anything but an entrepreneur. Every day is exciting!18 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 61
