94 || FITNESS MAGAZINE || JULY 2015FMM: If you could change one thing about the fitness world-what would that be?TL: More support and less %u201ccompetition.%u201d While the industry is so competitive in many aspects, it feels much better uplifting others and then in turn, keeping your vibe and presence positive and inspiring. In all reality, the competition is in the mirror- always. To be your best YOU- no one or nothing can ever replace or imitate that better than the original-yourself. Keep the negative talk and negative thoughts out of sight and out of mind. It makes for a much better atmosphere all around. While there are tons of ways and philosophies to train and get great activity in while working towards your goal physique, there are also many avenues of eating clean to work towards a healthy lifestyle of nutrition as well- whether it be vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten free, dairy free, paleo, etc. If we all supported each other with the overall %u201ctask%u201d or %u201cgoal%u201d of becoming more active and learning to live and lead a clean eating lifestyle, the fitness world may be a bit more of a peaceful and INSPIRING place. Support more, slander less. FMM: Describe what an average day is like for you?TL: I wake up, snuggle with my Persian cats, have a bottle of water and some coffee. Then breakfast, and I get my beast mode on. Then I go home, shower, and get to work with my business. Having our own business, it%u2019s easy for me to juggle errand running, house cleaning, and gardening in between tending to our clients and doing what we love most- helping to create a healthy, fit, and beautiful lifestyle for our Personal Performance family. FMM: What is your favorite aspect of bikini competitions?TL: I love watching my physique transform through the consistent hard work and dedication I put towards my body while keeping a piercingly focused mind. It is amazing what we can do and accomplish in life if we just put our minds to it. FMM: If you could do anything else for a career, what would it be?TL: I honestly can not think of anything that I would truly rather be doing than what I currently do now within our own business. If I hadn%u2019t finally turned our passions into our business and didn%u2019t have the drive and direction where I am now- I think maybe I would probably chose to be a therapist. I feel like I have a way with helping others heal and have a very diverse outlook on life and people in general. FMM: You help and inspire others to lead healthy, happy, loving lives-who helped you?TL: I think a combination of facets help me lead a healthy, happy, and loving life. Let%u2019s start off with health as it is most important in creating the balanced mind, body, and soul. To be healthy mentally is just as important as being healthy physically.
