MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 75 37MAGAZINEMOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 75MOST AS AN ACTRESS, YOU%u2019VE PORTRAYED A WIDE RANGE OF CHARACTERS. IS THERE A PARTICULAR TYPE OF ROLE YOU HAVEN%u2019T PLAYED YET BUT ARE EAGER TO EXPLORE?There are so many roles I want to play, but I think it would be really fun to play a villain. It%u2019s always challenging to find the heart in those types of characters, to be able to defend them, and to bring empathy to them, so I%u2019m looking forward to it. YOU EXECUTIVE PRODUCED THE AWARD-WINNING FILM UNIDENTIFIED OBJECTS. WHAT CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE IN THAT ROLE, AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THEM?We shot it during COVID (August 2020). We had just started our company, and it was the first feature we executive produced, so we learned a lot in the process. We helped as much as we could from a distance. It was challenging not being able to help more on set because we were in Los Angeles while they were shooting in New York. One of the best parts of Unidentified Objects was having Juan Felipe Zuleta (director/producer) and Masha Leonov as our leaders on that adventure%u2014trusting them was key. COLOMBIAN CINEMA HAS BEEN A SIGNIFICANT PART OF YOUR CAREER. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE GLOBAL AUDIENCE CAN LEARN FROM COLOMBIAN STORYTELLING?We are always willing to take risks. We believe in diversity. We have overcome so many obstacles as a country that we are not afraid to share our stories, and we do so with the highest standards. It makes me really proud that the world recognizes Colombia as a great place to shoot different projects that are receiving worldwide recognition thanks to our talented and hardworking people. I hope our persistence inspires many filmmakers to share their stories and reminds them to never give up.
