MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 68 67MOSTMAGAZINEQ: How does your love for travel and adventure influence the themes and visuals in your music?A: My love for travel and adventure deeply influences the themes and visuals of my music. I always find new inspiration depending on where I am. For example, the visuals for Good to Be Alive reflect the idea of living in the moment and appreciating life. At the time, I was traveling through Spain in the summer, surrounded by calm, beautiful landscapes, so the visuals were simple and captured that serene feeling, even shot on my phone. If I%u2019m in a busy city, the visuals might have more of an urban, energetic vibe. But if I%u2019m in a calm place, like the countryside, the visuals reflect that tranquility. My music and visuals are a constant flow, shaped by the places I visit and my mood at the time. That%u2019s what I love about traveling%u2014the stimulation and inspiration that constantly fuel my creativity.Q: As someone who draws inspiration from personal connections, how do the people you meet influence your songwriting process?A: I draw a lot of inspiration from places and cultures. Cuba has a strong influence, as does Spain%u2014particularly the South of Spain. But Havana stands out in my mind with its colors, buildings, kids playing in the streets, folks playing dominoes, the sounds, the cars, the smells, the food, and the live music in the streets. These sensory experiences really shape my music and songwriting. Recently, my music and the beats I%u2019ve been creating have a lot to do with nostalgia. I%u2019m not sure if I%u2019ll release that sound yet, but I%u2019ve built a collection of beats that carry that nostalgic vibe based on my personal connections to places like Cuba and Spain.Q: Your upcoming re-release in 2025 is deeply personal. What%u2019s the story behind this track, and why did you decide to revisit it now?A: Para%u00edso is a song that I didn%u2019t fully understand how many people connected with until I started hearing from them, including my mom. She expressed, in a very beautiful and deep way, how important this song is to her, and I%u2019ve received many messages from others who feel the same. It became clear to me that Para%u00edso deserves its justice with a re-release. This song was one of my first to be released on streaming platforms, and I want to honor it now. But most importantly, I want to honor my mom and her love for the song Para%u00edso. There%u2019s a deep personal connection to this song within my family, and it%u2019s time for Para%u00edso to be recognized again. It will be out in February 2025Q: What can fans expect from the remixes accompanying the re-release? How do they transform the original song?A: We%u2019re working on the remixes right now, and all I can say is that it%u2019s a surprise%u2014both for the listeners and for me. I don%u2019t want to give too much away, but these remixes are going to bring a fresh twist to the original song, adding new layers while keeping the essence of Para%u00edso. It%u2019s going to be an exciting experience for everyone involved, and I can%u2019t wait for the listeners to hear it!Q: What does success mean to you as an artist? Is it about personal growth, audience connection, or something else?A: Success to me is a balance of personal growth, audience connection, and taking control of my own path. Personal growth is key%u2014I%u2019ve done a lot of it, and it%u2019s impacting how I create and evolve as an artist. I see my music and my ideas growing as I do. For me, audience connections come naturally after that growth, because I believe when you%u2019re true to yourself, the audience will connect. Success, in this moment, is about where I am now%u2014the progress I%u2019ve made in both my personal growth and my music. It%u2019s also about taking control of my career, something I didn%u2019t have the privilege of doing a few years ago. Now, I%u2019m managing my own music career, even though it%u2019s a challenge. That%u2019s success to me. The audience will follow when you create with passion and authenticity.
