64 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 68MOSTMAGAZINEQ: How did your journey from fashion to music unfold? Was there a defining moment when you realized music was your calling?A: I started singing and performing at 12%u2014doing jazz festivals, recording demos, and background vocals. I was immersed in music long before fashion, attending a high school focused on music with a journalistic side. Music was what I lived and breathed. However, after putting so much effort into music in Sweden without seeing the growth I wanted, I needed a break, and that%u2019s when modeling came in as a fresh breeze. But when I performed with the San Marino Philharmonic Orchestra at the Expo in Milan, it reignited my passion for music after a couple of years away. That performance reminded me of my roots and the deep connection I have to music. From there, I went to LA.Q: What was it like collaborating with Frankie J, an artist you admired growing up? How did that experience shape your musical career?A: Collaborating with Frankie J was a dream come true. When I got the news that he agreed to collaborate, I was beyond excited. What started as one song turned into three, and during that time, a lot unfolded. It was surreal remembering watching %u2018Sugar Sugar%u2019 on MTV with Frankie J and Baby Bash, and then sitting next to him in the studio, singing together. I admired his work ethic and the way he effortlessly writes and creates melodies. Watching him work was inspiring, and I learned so much from his process.Q: Of the three songs you recorded with Frankie J, which one holds the most personal significance, and why?A: Borr%u00f3n y Cuenta Nueva was a standout. It%u2019s such a punchy, outrageous song with great lyrics, and it holds a different kind of energy. But Lo Que Pas%u00f3 will always come first because it was our first collaboration%u2014the first song he agreed to work on with me. I remember the pure joy when we heard the beat from the producer. It was one of those moments where we knew, %u2018Yes, this is the song.Q: Your track %u201cUniverso%u201d explores trusting the unknown. What inspired you to write this song?A: Universo came from a moment in my life when I realized I was trying to control things that I couldn%u2019t. Like most of us, I think we all go through phases where we want to control everything, but I was struggling to let go. The song came from the realization that I was holding onto something that didn%u2019t exist%u2014control over the future. I had to surrender to the fact that the universe has its own plan, and I needed to let go. This song is about trusting the unknown and allowing life to unfold on its own. We often want to know what the future holds, but the universe has its own timing and path for us. It%u2019s about letting go and letting the universe work its wonders%u2014it%u2019s up to the universe.Q: What message do you hope listeners take away from your empowering anthem, %u201cOut in the Wild%u201d?A: Out in the Wild was written to inspire people to let loose, have fun, and feel empowered. I hope that listeners feel the energy of the beat and the lyrics and are motivated to step into their own power. Whether they%u2019re getting ready for a challenging day or preparing for an important moment, I want this song to give them that feeling of confidence and freedom. It%u2019s about reclaiming your freedom and living life on your terms.Q: How do you balance staying true to your roots while continuously evolving as an artist?A: That%u2019s a great question. I feel like staying true to myself is part of my artistry, but evolving is even more important. My artistry evolves naturally, and my roots are part of that evolution%u2014they follow my growth. I%u2019m all about growth and change while staying true to my essence. Evolution just happens organically, and it%u2019s a process that naturally includes my roots as I evolve. It%u2019s a flow that works together.
