Q: What role does mental wellness play in your programs, and how do you help clients build a positive mindset?A: Mental wellness is a crucial part of my programs because achieving lasting physical transformation goes hand in hand with a positive and resilient mindset. I emphasize that fitness is as much about mental strength as it is about physical progress. My goal is to help clients cultivate a positive relationship with their bodies, celebrating every step forward and learning from setbacks without feeling discouraged. To support this, I work on building self-confidence and setting realistic, incremental goals that allow clients to see and appreciate their progress. I also encourage mindful practices, like journaling or setting daily intentions, to help them stay connected to their goals and foster a sense of purpose. By focusing on mental wellness, I help clients develop a healthy, balanced mindset, which empowers them to stay motivated, resilient, and committed to their journey over the long term. Q: What do you find most rewarding about guiding clients through their wellness journeys?A: The most rewarding part of guiding clients through their wellness journeys is witnessing their growth, both physically and mentally. Seeing them overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach is incredibly fulfilling. The transformation isn%u2019t just about how they look%u2014it%u2019s about how they feel: more empowered, stronger, and capable of facing whatever comes their way. When clients realize they have the tools to maintain their progress and continue improving, it%u2019s a powerful moment. It%u2019s not just about reaching a destination; it%u2019s about equipping them with the knowledge, mindset, and habits to thrive long after they%u2019ve met their initial goals. Being part of that journey and watching them embrace a healthier, more confident version of themselves is what makes this work so rewarding. Q: What advice would you give to women who feel intimidated about beginning their fitness journey?A: My advice to women who feel intimidated about beginning their fitness journey is to remember that every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. It%u2019s completely normal to feel uncertain at first, but the key is starting where you are, not where you think you should be. Fitness is a personal journey, and it%u2019s important to be kind to yourself along the way.I also encourage women to focus on how they feel rather than comparing themselves to others or chasing perfection. Fitness isn%u2019t about achieving an ideal; it%u2019s about improving your strength, health, and well-being. Start with small, manageable goals and celebrate each milestone, whether it%u2019s a stronger workout or simply showing up consistently. You don%u2019t have to be perfect%u2014just committed to showing up for yourself. And most importantly, seek out a support system, whether it%u2019s a coach, a community, or friends, to help keep you motivated and accountable. You%u2019ve got this! Q: Can you share a memorable client success story that exemplifies the impact of your approach?A: One of the most memorable success stories that exemplifies the impact of my approach is a client who came to me feeling frustrated and discouraged after years of struggling with on-and-off dieting and inconsistent fitness routines. She had tried numerous programs but always felt overwhelmed by rigid rules and unrealistic expectations. When we started working together, I emphasized a sustainable, flexible approach that focused on building healthy habits at a pace that worked for her.Over time, she began to trust the process, focusing on small, achievable goals and learning how to balance her nutrition with a macro-based plan that allowed for flexibility. She was surprised to discover that she could actually make incredible changes to her body while eating more food than she ever had before. She didn%u2019t just lose weight%u2014she built strength, gained confidence, and developed a positive relationship with food and exercise. What really stood out was when she shared how she felt empowered not just by the physical changes, but by the mindset shift she experienced. She no longer felt like she had to %u201cstart over%u201d every few months. Instead, she had the tools and mindset to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the long term. It was a true transformation, and watching her embrace this newfound confidence in herself was incredibly rewarding.62 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 62
