How has your autoimmune disease impacted your fitness routine, and how have you adapted? The past three years have been tough. In February, I finally found a doctor who diagnosed my chronic Epstein-Barr virus after years of chronic fatigue, muscle aches, and a sore throat that felt like strep. I%u2019ve had to slow down significantly to allow my body to heal from inflammation and adrenal fatigue. It%u2019s been challenging, but I listen to my body now, giving it the rest it needs. Sometimes, even when I think I can push hard in the gym, my body quickly reminds me to take it easy. What motivated you to start working with cancer and radiation patients, and how do you help them manage hair loss during treatment?A long-time client approached me about working with cancer and radiation patients, and I began this journey last December. As a stylist for 31 years, I%u2019ve had several clients battle cancer. People often ask me about nutrition for hair regrowth, and my background helps me provide advice, especially for those with compromised immune systems. It%u2019s been a blessing to help them in any way I can during such a difficult time. What role does nutrition play in your overall fitness philosophy, and how do you communicate this to your clients and patients? Nutrition is the cornerstone of fitness. Without the right nutrition, your physical efforts won%u2019t yield optimal results. I never push my views on anyone, but when asked for guidance, I stress the importance of consistency in daily nutrition. I always take into account my clients%u2019 lifestyle and preferences before offering advice that suits their needs.MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 58 45
