Q: Your recent engagement at the Met Gala reflects an interest in high-profile events. How do you balance personal interests and business engagements, particularly in environments like the fashion and entertainment industries?I tend to mix my personal interests with my business interests, and visa versus. I think if you expose yourself to an unfamiliar industry, you can start to see openings in it where you might be able to implement your own specific skills. This can present business opportunities and create synergies. Ultimately, I feel like my personal interests have, in a way, become my business interests. At this point they%u2019re kind of one and the same%u2014a cohesive whole.Q: Looking ahead, what industries do you see as promising for future investments given your multifaceted experience and market insight?Probably the real estate market. As you see interest rates rising and remaining high, you%u2019re going to unfortunately see more defaults and fewer financial workouts. This type of a financial landscape could lead to unique opportunities and some compelling investment opportunities%u2014possibly even once-in-a-generation opportunities.Q: Can you talk a bit about your recent trips to Serbia and what you%u2019re working on there?I%u2019ve been engaged in meetings with top government officials regarding potential collaborations in the oil and lithium sectors, as well as discussions with American companies interested in entering the Serbian market. We%u2019re exploring opportunities related to Serbia%u2019s mineral resources with a particular focus on their lithium and mineral reserves for battery powered cars and US electric car manufacturers.Q: And finally, we%u2019ve noticed on your socials that you%u2019ve been attending a lot of NBA playoff games. Any interesting anecdotes? And who%u2019s your pick for this year%u2019s championship? Most recently, during a game in Dallas, I ran into Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks. I met his new partner, Miriam Adelson, who owns the Sands hotel and is now also part of the Mavericks ownership group. It was great to spend some time with them. In terms of my pick for the playoffs, I%u2019d have to go with Boston. Their performance throughout the playoffs has been remarkable, and they really seem poised to take home the title. That said, my heart will always be in Texas.66 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 45
