Many have become good friends; the truth is that everyone I%u2019ve met on these visits has influenced my life for the better. It truly is life changing and something only few can experience.MFM: What is one of your favorite inspiring stories that came about from your non-profit %u201cHounds and Heroes?%u201d BJL: We%u2019ve been working a lot lately with placing shelter dogs with veterans struggling with PTSD, TBI, or amputees. To see a veteran that was once considering suicide now happy with his new companion that might have been euthanized is quite rewarding. It%u2019s saving two lives.
