28 || MOST FITNESS || FEBRUARY / MARCH 2016about the show? Do you have any desire to do this in other countries? BJL: The audience in China loves it! We have millions of fans, and we%u2019re growing! I just love this show and the opportunities it has presented to really learn about the culture. We will be expanding to all the countries in Asia, and Japan and Taiwan are next. MFM: You juggle so many jobs and projects-do you have any advice for our readers about how to keep a daily balanced life of eating healthy and working out? BJL: You are never too busy to get a workout in and eat healthy. I%u2019m very obsessed with fitness and eating right. I%u2019m an ambassador for Orangetheory Fitness in Santa Monica; this workout is the most well rounded workout you will get. It%u2019s the best! I go 4-5 times a week. Nutrition wise, being a vegan has helped me to always feel healthy and gives me the energy I need. But you do have to have cheat days...I love sweets :-)MFM: What does your daily workout regimen look like? BJL: Like I mentioned before, Orangetheory Fitness; it%u2019s a combination of cardio and strength training. I will also do yoga about once a week and go running with my dogs. MFM: What is the design process like for your line, %u201cDoublePlay Sportswear?%u201d Have you found that there are not enough chic sportswear options out there for women? BJL: To answer your second question first-yes yes yes yes yes! I want to look like a girl while I root for my team! My design partner and I think about what we would wear then go from there. It%u2019s very sporty chic!MFM: How did you first get involved with the military and animal welfare? BJL: My mom has been rescuing all animals as long as I can remember, and she instilled that in me at a small age. I was always an animal lover and knew that I needed to be their voice. My involvement with the military comes from a combination of wanting to honor my family members (my Grandfathers that served in WWII and my Uncle who served in Vietnam) and to thank those who have and continue to serve. It%u2019s my passion to help and support our heroes! MFM: You have traveled numerous times to both Afghanistan and Iraq-what is something you learned from those tours? What was the best part of going over there? BJL: I learned how important it is to these brave men and women to know that the people at home have their backs. On these tours we bring a piece of America to them. The risks they take and the sacrifices they make are so great
