Q: What elements from fashion, movies, and music most inspire your creative vision?A: Whenever I shoot with a new model or an inexperienced subject, my goal is to transport them out of the real world and create a cinematic atmosphere. This allows them to imagine and embody the character they%u2019re portraying (and I%u2019m not referring to LinkedIn portraits). There%u2019s always music on set, matching the vibe I aim for. Music takes over, adding a magical quality. Both fashion and movies create scenes far removed from reality; no one walks around with a model%u2019s intense expression in daily life (unless they%u2019re on a power trip). I strive to capture that cinematic feeling on set%u2014we%u2019re in a movie for the next few hours.Q: You strive to merge fine art and fashion photography. How do you incorporate these two worlds into your work?A: I dislike finding myself doing something banal or overdone.
