Q: Your children, James and Violet, are obviously a big part of your life. How do you incorporate fitness into family life and inspire them to stay active?A. Living in the Pacific Northwest, we love hiking with the kids and planning holidays around fun, active pursuits like paddleboarding and camping. From an early age, we%u2019ve spent a lot of time with them on hikes, bike rides, walks, theme parks, and sports activities to emphasize the importance of staying fit%u2014all while keeping it fun.Q: The Pacific Northwest is known for its stunning outdoor landscapes. How do you and your family take advantage of this environment to stay active together?A. We enjoy hiking in the mountains and paddleboarding in the summer on the beautiful lakes around the Pacific Northwest. Camping has also become a favorite spring and summer activity to stay active and connected.Q: With nearly two decades of experience in the fitness industry, what%u2019s the most rewarding part of your job as a personal trainer?A. I%u2019ve had clients who%u2019ve lost significant weight, transformed their physiques, competed in shows, and even taken part in various sports. Each journey is rewarding, but the most fulfilling part is when clients tell me how much they value working with me and how it%u2019s improved their lives. I%u2019ve worked with clients through cancer recovery, pregnancy, wedding prep, album covers, TV shows, and rehab, and each experience has built strong bonds and friendships.Q: Looking ahead, what are your future goals in your personal fitness journey and in your career as a trainer?A. I want to continue building my online presence within the fitness industry while focusing on my in-person clients%u2019 goals and transformations.
