I decided that I was going to make 50 an honor instead of something to be worried about. I made a goal to get in the best shape I possibly could in one year... Not only did I lose fat and gain muscle, the amount of energy and positivity I have now is incredible!Q: Your husband, James Senior, is also a personal trainer and fitness enthusiast. How has sharing a passion for fitness strengthened your relationship and family life?A. When we met, fitness was a major common interest, and I found his fit physique attractive! We love working out together and doing activities like hiking and paddle boarding. James is disciplined with his nutrition, which inspires and encourages me. It%u2019s rewarding to see our preteen kids show interest in working out; they even flex their muscles now%u2014it%u2019s adorable!Q: Fitness is obviously a huge part of your life, but what other activities do you enjoy when you%u2019re not in the gym or working with clients?A. I love spending time with my family, and we have many traditions and activities we enjoy. Traveling is a big passion; one of our favorite spots is Cannon Beach, Oregon, where we play on the beach and have campfires. We also love camping, hiking, and paddle boarding. Additionally, I%u2019ve been a portrait photographer for about 25 years. Capturing beautiful images and watching families grow brings me great joy.Q: Looking ahead, what are your goals for the future, both personally and in terms of helping more women through their own midlife transformations?A. The internet has given me the ability to help people worldwide get healthier, boost their energy, and live happier, higher-quality lives. I%u2019m building an app that will feature my fitness program to help midlife women (and %u201cqueenagers%u201d of all ages) reach their fitness and energy goals. Personally, I aim to keep getting stronger and leaner while maintaining a pain-free lifestyle. I%u2019ve always wanted to learn breakdancing, and when I saw it included in the Olympics this year, I felt inspired. So, I%u2019ve started taking breakdancing lessons at 50! It%u2019s never too late to learn new things and chase your dreams.MOSTMAGAZINEMOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 63 31
