How has strength training changed your approach to fitness and wellness?Strength training has been life-changing for me. I was always active but struggled to build muscle. As a tall, lanky woman, I often felt intimidated in the weight room. But once I learned how to strength train, I gained confidence, felt more connected to my body, and improved my overall wellness. It%u2019s been transformative for both my physical and mental health.Can you talk about the mentorship you%u2019ve received from Ramona Temple Gonzales and its impact on your fitness goals?Before I met Mona, I was active but didn%u2019t have a clear plan or direction. She taught me about setting goals, meal planning, and tracking my nutrition%u2014things I had never done before. Her mentorship has been life-changing. She%u2019s not only knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about helping others succeed, and she%u2019s helped me achieve results I never thought possible.What does the community at RTG Fitness mean to you, and how has it contributed to your overall well-being?RTG Fitness has become like a second family to me. It%u2019s a safe space where I%u2019ve learned, grown, and built my confidence. The women there challenge and support one another, and we celebrate each other%u2019s achievements. Finding a community with shared goals has been a huge gift and has played a major role in my mental and physical well-being.How important is the support of your family, friends, and boyfriend in maintaining your fitness and mental health?Their support is everything to me. My family, friends, and boyfriend have been my foundation, cheering me on through all the highs and lows. After going through a divorce, I struggled with my mental health, but my family and friends were there to help me through it. My boyfriend has also been an incredible support%u2014he helps with everything from preparing my supplements for early morning workouts to providing emotional encouragement. Together, we%u2019ve built a strong, health-focused partnership that brings me peace.How do you balance your love for nature, fitness, and community in your daily life?I usually start my day with a 5 am workout, lifting and doing cardio with the RTG women. I meal prep on Sundays, incorporating herbs and veggies from my garden to stay on track. I try to get outside every day, whether it%u2019s walking during lunch or running with my boyfriend on non-gym mornings. Staying active and connected to nature helps me stay grounded, even on busy days.In what ways have your passions for nature, movement, and food intersected to shape your overall wellness philosophy?I believe true wellness comes from balancing physical activity, proper nutrition, and emotional connections. I love pushing myself physically and fueling my body with nutrient-rich foods, but I also make sure to take time for gratitude, mindfulness, and connecting with the people I love.
