Weightlifting is a family affair for them, as they all train together at the Train Station in Hixson, TN.Outside of their fitness routines, Tammie and Ty enjoy vacations, time on their boat, and game nights with close family and friends.Q: How do you stay on track with your fitness goals while traveling?A: I%u2019m like a squirrel preparing for winter%u2014I prep all my food before I travel. I pack whatever I%u2019ll be eating while traveling in my carry-on and typically deep freeze the rest to include in my checked bag.Q; How has your fitness journey influenced your overall lifestyle?A: My fitness journey has evolved into a lifestyle change. It%u2019s no longer just about the physical benefits; it%u2019s also about the mental and emotional strength I%u2019ve gained along the way.Q: How do you keep your workouts interesting and varied?A: I%u2019m all about the %u201cbeat-the-numbers%u201d game. My goal is always to score higher, whether it%u2019s more reps or more weight. It%u2019s like chasing a high score, but instead of points, it%u2019s gains.Q: What%u2019s the most challenging part of being a fitness model?A: Juggling life feels like being a circus performer with a million flaming torches. Balancing a full-time job, a child in sports, a husband, and working on my doctorate is a never-ending to-do list. It%u2019s about creating space for yourself and what you need to perform this juggling act.Q: How do you ensure you%u2019re getting enough nutrients to support your workouts?A: I adjust my meal plans based on the phase I%u2019m in (contest prep, reverse diet, off-season, etc.).
