Initially, Jasmin was unsure how her musical theatre upbringing would transfer over to television. After stretching herself and trying something new, she learned the challenges and struggles of television acting.avoy-Brown plays Evie on HBO%u2019s The Leftovers and says that the audition for the show has been the best audition experience of her career. Jasmin says, %u201cWorking on a show like The Leftovers that asks such existential questions without clear answers, examining humanity from a core place of truth, is incredible.%u201d In a show with twists and turns galore, once again, Savoy-Brown pushes her limits through each scene. You can also discover Jasmin in Stichers on Freeform where she plays Nina, a twenty-something comic book nerd who falls for one of the members of the Stichers team. While vastly different from The Leftovers, Savoy-Brown says the crossover between the two has been incredibly exciting.Savoy-Brown currently resides in Los Angeles and says she considers herself a %u201ccity girl%u201d. However, she says that she loves the outdoors and her happy place is out in the cold Oregon country appreciating nature. In the next five years, Savoy-Brown wants to consistently be switching from Broadway performances and television, and even has some dream roles in mind. It%u2019s her dream to work with LinManuel Miranda, Tom Hooper and Weyni Mangesha.As far as fitness goes, Jasmin always tries to find the time to fit in a good workout. Two of her favorite ways to stay in shape are dance classes and hiking which she says helps keep her grounded. SavoyBrown also says that her fitness is an amazing way to maintain relationships and explore other cultures. Her tip to MOST readers is to %u201cdo what brings you joy%u201d. For Jasmin, she says that dancing is something that truly makes her happy and is never a chore. Savoy-Brown says she often wakes up with a homemade smoothie and then listens to her body throughout the day. She says to just be conscious of what you are putting in your body is the best way to watch your diet.It%u2019s clear that Jasmin Savoy-Brown has dedicated her life to the performing arts and will continue to make impacts in the industry. With a positive attitude and a down to earth mindset, Jasmin advocates for happiness in whatever you choose to do.
