HOW MUCH OF YOUR WORK IS PLANNED VERSUS SPONTANEOUS?A: The whole process is very spontaneous and based on dynamically exploring a particular place. I don%u2019t like planning anything in advance%u2014I prefer to be inspired by what%u2019s happening on the spot. It resembles a walk: we talk, and whenever an interesting spot appears, we shift into photography mode. I give the models very general instructions and try to capture moments of movement or interaction. After a while, they loosen up, open themselves to experimentation, and begin contributing their own ideas. It%u2019s very much a collaborative process.Q: WHAT%u2019S NEXT FOR YOU? ARE THERE ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS OR COLLABORATIONS YOU%u2019RE PARTICULARLY EXCITED ABOUT?A: I%u2019ve got a few fashion-related projects ahead of me, and my work will be shown during Paris Photo. In the meantime, I%u2019m gathering images for a new book inspired by moving out of the city into a tiny house in a village%u2014changing the pace of life and spending more time with loved ones.
