WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO PURSUE BOTH CAREERS SIMULTANEOUSLY? A: Passion! I wanted to do both so badly and decided that%u2019s exactly what I was going to do%u2026 both. I had already been accepted into the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine but learned there was also a professional wrestling training school nearby. Curiosity killed the cat, and the next thing I knew, I was rolling around and getting slammed in a professional wrestling ring by night and studying for my dental exams by day. It was absolutely brutal, and I spent plenty of sleepless nights wondering how the hell I was going to maintain this life of chasing two Plan A careers. But I just took it one step at a time%u2014day by day%u2014and never looked too far ahead, because that%u2019s when I would get overwhelmed by how daunting the work was and how far I had to go.The best advice I could give to someone who feels overwhelmed is that you don%u2019t have to worry about all the steps%u2014just the next one. I had plenty of doubters and people telling me I was ridiculous for thinking I could successfully complete the grueling coursework of dental school while also achieving the unlikely goal of being a televised professional wrestler.
