MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 76 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 75 73MOSTMAGAZINE YOU%u2019VE SAID THAT YOUR MOTHER TAUGHT YOU TO APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY OF NATURE AND PEOPLE FROM A YOUNG AGE. HOW DOES THAT EARLY INFLUENCE MANIFEST IN YOUR WORK TODAY? My mother loves nature%u2014it gives her energy, and I believe she passed that on to me. My favorite photography projects involve capturing people in breathtaking natural locations. This inspires me and fills me with strength. YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY HAS A DISTINCT WAY OF CAPTURING BOTH THE EXTERNAL BEAUTY AND THE INTERNAL EMOTIONS OF YOUR SUBJECTS. WHAT%u2019S YOUR APPROACH TO PORTRAYING RAW EMOTION THROUGH PORTRAITURE? Each person is like a vessel filled with emotions, and I strive to capture that essence in my photographs. Honestly, it is not always easy%u2014many people find it difficult to relax in front of the camera, while others prefer traditional posed shots. It%u2019s not always possible to fully reveal a person%u2019s personality, but I work on refining this skill with every session. HAVING EXPLORED VARIOUS PHOTOGRAPHY STYLES AND TECHNIQUES, WHY DID PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY BECOME YOUR TRUE CALLING? WHAT MAKES IT SO SPECIAL TO YOU? We were all created uniquely, each with our own individuality. A person%u2019s eyes can tell so many stories. When looking at a portrait, we can imagine an entire narrative about that person, evoking emotions in the viewer. We are all connected in this way, and I find that incredibly fascinating%u2014don%u2019t you agree? YOU%u2019VE MENTIONED THAT YOUR WORK IS INSPIRED BY BOTH EXHIBITIONS AND THE PHOTOGRAPHERS YOU%u2019VE STUDIED. HOW HAS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF PHOTOGRAPHY EVOLVED THROUGH THESE INFLUENCES? A photographer%u2019s best friend is visual exposure. By analyzing different photographs, we learn to see them from new perspectives. We draw inspiration from them, and in the beginning, we might try to replicate them. Over time, however, we develop our own unique style and begin to create something entirely original.
