MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 74 63MOSTMAGAZINEMOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 74YOU%u2019VE WORKED ON COMMERCIALS AND PRINT CAMPAIGNS, INCLUDING ONE IN ANTARCTICA. CAN YOU SHARE THE STORY BEHIND THAT ADVENTURE?This project hasn%u2019t been released yet, so I can%u2019t give too many details, but I can say this%u2014Antarctica is the most epic place I%u2019ve ever been. Ice cliffs hundreds of feet tall, icebergs the size of small buildings, brutal weather conditions, and the cutest little penguins keeping watch over it all.The only downside? After using public Wi-Fi at the airport in Chile, I got hacked. I lost my social media and nearly lost my email and bank info. Luckily, I caught it in time. Public service announcement: DO NOT use public Wi-Fi anywhere! YOUR JOURNEY FROM NORTH DAKOTA TO HOLLYWOOD IS UNIQUE. HOW DO YOUR MIDWESTERN ROOTS INFLUENCE YOUR WORK AND PERSPECTIVE AS AN ACTOR?Growing up in a small town, everyone knew each other. Accountability was ingrained in me.I%u2019ve been on sets where actors walk in with a sense of entitlement%u2014I just can%u2019t relate. Sets are high-pressure environments. The more you can be a team player and adapt to change, the better the experience is for everyone. WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE CONSIDERING A CAREER PIVOT AS BOLD AS YOURS?Be prepared to suffer. (I say that half-jokingly, but there%u2019s truth in it.) Learn as much as you can, ask people in the field about their experiences%u2014both good and bad%u2014and then make a plan. LOOKING AHEAD, WHAT TYPES OF ROLES OR PROJECTS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO PURSUE?This will sound obvious, but I%u2019d love to work with Christopher Nolan, the Coen brothers, and Taylor Sheridan. Their storytelling is unmatchedSteven HeislerIG: @iamstevenheisler
