Q: You%u2019ve worked with women at every stage of life, from beginners to global competitors. How do you tailor your coaching to meet such diverse needs?A: It%u2019s a mix of experience and teamwork. I understand every woman%u2019s journey because I%u2019ve been there%u2014from nervously stepping into the gym for the first time to competing on the world stage. I%u2019ve faced many of the same challenges, as a businesswoman, a mom, and a globetrotter.Additionally, I now work with an incredible team of female coaches, including doctors and specialists in areas like extreme weight loss, menopause, hormonal health, and fitness for moms with young kids. Together, we cover it all! Q: Your victories in WBFF and the FMG Dallas Pro are groundbreaking. What do those wins mean to you personally and for the fitness community in the Netherlands?A: Personally, they mean everything. They prove that with a great team, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. For the community, these wins have inspired more women to compete. It%u2019s incredible to see how much the fitness scene is growing here in the Netherlands. Q: What%u2019s the biggest misconception women have about fitness and building their dream body?A: Can I list a few? %u2022 You don%u2019t need to eat less to get a toned body%u2014you need to fuel it!%u2022 You don%u2019t need to do tons of reps with light weights. Train heavy, with progressive overload. And no, you won%u2019t get bulky like a man!%u2022 You don%u2019t have to do it alone. From day one, I had a coach (who%u2019s now my husband!), and having someone believe in you and guide you is priceless.%u2022 Perfection isn%u2019t the goal. Consistency is. Stick to a habit for 90 days, and watch your life change!%u2022 Age isn%u2019t an excuse. I%u2019m 40 and feel better and look better than I did at 30. Half my Sunshines are post-menopausal and still smashing their goals. Q: You emphasize mindset as much as physical fitness. How do you help women develop a strong and confident mindset through your program?A: Your body is a reflection of your mental health. I start by encouraging small, tangible goals. Success breeds confidence, so we focus on simple steps that make progress feel achievable. Q: You travel the world to learn and teach. How has this global exposure shaped your approach to coaching and fitness?A: It%u2019s been HUGE! My husband once said, %u201cIf you%u2019re the smartest person in the room, find a new room.%u201d So, I sought out the best coaches and athletes worldwide to learn from. The insights I gained transformed my coaching methods and elevated them to a whole new level.44 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 67
