Q: How do landscapes and culture play a role in your fashion photography?A: For me, it%u2019s essential to create a connection between culture and landscapes in my photography. Without culture, there would be no fashion. While I enjoy shooting in the studio, it%u2019s important for me to capture a natural connection between the subject and the environment, which I can only achieve outdoors.Q: Can you tell us about the experience of having your work published on magazine covers worldwide?A: Beyond the honor of being published internationally, the most important aspect for me is connecting with the people I photograph. Having my work featured in magazines has given me platforms to showcase my vision and inspire others, and for that, I%u2019m incredibly grateful to all the publications that have trusted in my work.Q: What are some key differences you%u2019ve noticed in fashion photography between Puerto Rico, the U.S., and Asia?A: Cultural differences influence everything when it comes to fashion and photography. Puerto Rico%u2019s warm climate affects fashion editorials, where you%u2019ll often see light clothing, vibrant colors, and contrasts. In the U.S., fashion photography is heavily influenced by popular culture, while in Asia, fashion photography often reflects deep connections to cultural traditions passed down through generations.Q: How do you hope this project will impact societal perceptions of age in fashion?A: I hope to see more senior models in magazines, advertisements, and fashion shows, breaking the stereotype that fashion is only for the young.42 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 60
