                                    Oscar Garcia-Lopez%u2019s journey from a young boy with dreams in Cuba to an internationally recognized fashion designer is a testament to his passion, perseverance, and unrelenting creativity. Born in Havana in 1973, Oscar discovered at a very young age that fashion was his calling. Even as a child growing up in a country with scarce resources, he found ways to express his artistic vision, a vision that has since captivated some of the most elite circles in the fashion world. At just 12 years old, Oscar crafted his first dress%u2014not with high-end fabrics, but using his mother%u2019s old curtains. It was a resourceful, yet symbolic start to a career that would be defined by both ingenuity and artistry. With limited materials available on the island, Oscar didn%u2019t just create garments; he had to make the tools needed to construct them. He recalls sharpening his needles with nail files and candle wax, often waiting for relatives or friends to bring supplies from abroad. %u201cI was determined,%u201d he remembers, %u201cand didn%u2019t mind the effort.
