Q: What%u2019s your favorite way to unwind after a long day on set?A: My favorite way to unwind is with a warm, homecooked dinner and a good movie or show. After a day in heels, the best feeling is getting comfortable and relaxing. Now, if someone could invent a machine that removes makeup effortlessly, life would be perfect!Q: What%u2019s your go-to healthy meal or snack?A: My go-to healthy snack is a mixed green salad topped with warm chickpeas, lentils, carrots, beets, goat cheese, and croutons with avocado ranch dressing. I can%u2019t live without coconut water%u2014it%u2019s my vice, along with sea moss. For something sweet, I%u2019ll grab a chocolate granola bar, fresh fruit, or Welch%u2019s Fruit Snacks. It%u2019s the perfect combo.Q: What beauty product can you not live without?A: Does essential oil perfume count as a beauty product? I love creating my own unique scents because fragrance is a big part of how I express beauty. I%u2019m comfortable in my cocoa butter brown skin, whether I%u2019m wearing makeup or not. And yes, Vaseline is also a must%u2014nobody wants to be ashy! It%u2019s so versatile and can be used for just about anything.Q: How do you keep your confidence high when walking the runway?A: Thank you for such a great question! Before each runway walk, I take a moment to pray and dedicate my catwalk to God. I express gratitude for the divine purpose and the gift I%u2019ve been given as a model. I ask that the light of the Lord shines through me, inspiring others and reflecting God%u2019s glory. That%u2019s truly the source of my confidence!Q: What%u2019s the most challenging part of working in high fashion?A: The delayed payment is definitely a challenge. It%u2019s unfair that creatives often have to wait 30, 60, or even 90 days to be paid for their work%u2014we have bills like everyone else! Plus, working with pretentious or egotistical people can make the experience unpleasant. I believe it%u2019s important to treat others with respect and professionalism while staying humble. Confidence is great, but there%u2019s a fine line between being confident and being cocky.Photographer: Aaron Lacy @aaronlacyHair, Makeup, Style: IMAN @loveimanjbMOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 57 83
