Q: How did your first runway experience feel?A: My first runway experience felt like destiny! I recognized my natural gift for modeling when I officially began my journey at age 12. However, as my mom fondly recalls, my very first runway moment was as a flower girl at my cousin%u2019s wedding when I was three years old%u2014and I famously refused to walk down the aisle! From there, my grandmother played a key role in building my confidence by encouraging me to model her designs at the fashion shows held by her sewing circle at our village Baptist church. To this day, runway modeling is still my favorite, because every time I walk, I feel an exhilarating sense of divine purpose. Each pose, turn, and step brings that fulfillment to lifeQ: Which designer do you dream of working with?A: I%u2019ve always dreamed of working with Roberto Cavalli%u2014his designs deserve a muse like me! If I could wear a gown every day, I absolutely would. I often picture myself in haute couture, and Cavalli%u2019s creations always capture my attention, sometimes before I even know it%u2019s his work. So, God, I know you%u2019re listeningI%u2019m ready for this dream to come true!Q: Who are your biggest style inspirations?A: My style inspirations are a mix of legends and modern icons: Diahann Carroll, Marilyn Monroe, Zendaya on the red carpet, Rihanna, Beyonc%u00e9, Blake Lively, and Jennifer Lopez%u2014a unique blend of timeless glamour! lolQ: Which emerging designers should we be paying attention to?A: Definitely keep an eye on Iann Dey (@IANN_DEY), a talented Mexican design duo. Their collections are consistently fashion-forward and original. I%u2019ve had the pleasure of modeling in two of their runway shows at New York Fashion Week, and they%u2019re not only incredibly talented but also a joy to work with!Q: What%u2019s a trend you wish would make a comeback?A: I%u2019d love to see a comeback of fashion from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s! The classy, timeless, and eclectic styles from those eras were truly special. It used to be common to dress up no matter where you were going%u2014even to the post office! There was an elegance to the way everyone put themselves together that I find really inspiring.Photographer: Brooklyn Rondon @flickem_upHair, Makeup, Style: IMAN @loveimanjb80 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 57
