MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 50 97Perspective My upcoming solo exhibition will be focusing on the evolution of music over the years and its impact on the world and myself. I will be depicting certain legendary musicians who have left a timeless impact on the world while also portraying their impact on me as an individual. Music and painting are connected. When I paint, I often listen to music. It tends to depict my flow, color schemes, and paint strokes. It%u2019s all very spontaneous and freeing. In addition, when I hear music, I see color. Color is a huge representation of my work in that it portrays my feelings and emotions. I feel and sense it, and it effortlessly flows through me enabling me to create on a very pure and raw level. It is my truth. Everything makes sense when I connect music and painting.My creations for this upcoming exhibition will all still remain in my style of abstract realism using mixed media on canvas. Within this, my viewers will continue to see numerous layers of texture giving my work somewhat of a sculpture like feel. In this, the viewer will see a sense a certain chaos turned to beauty. There will be numerous portraits of various music legends in this style along with portraits of nameless women that will ultimately depict myself. The show will be called %u201cPerspective.%u201d
