In many ways, he redefined what it means to be an artist and laid the groundwork for Contemporary Art. So, our representation of Dal%u00ed%u2019s work is a good match for the living surrealist artists we represent, such as Sir Daniel Winn. A heritage of ideas, techniques, and compositions is carried forward.Q: How do you think Dal%u00ed%u2019s work continues to influence contemporary art today?A: Dal%u00ed was eclectic and controversial. On any given day, he could converse in-depth with Sigmund Freud or walk an anteater through the Paris Metro. He was outrageous, irreverent, and a consummate marketeer. So, Dal%u00ed%u2019s influence on Contemporary Art is both artistic and practical. He%u2019s undoubtedly the best-known Surrealist whose radical approach to technique and subject matter expanded the definition of fine art.
