Q: How did you stay motivated during your journey to becoming a 3x Ms. Fitness Olympia?A: My motivation stemmed from a deep passion for fitness and the drive to continually push my limits. Setting clear, achievable goals and visualizing my success played a significant role. I live by the motto %u201cH2G2%u201d %u2013 I don%u2019t have to; I get to. This mindset keeps me grateful for the opportunity to compete, be creative, express my talent, and entertain. Nobody was ever forcing me to do this; I chose this sport because the challenge was intense, and I loved it! Surrounding myself with a supportive team and fans also kept me inspired, as did the desire to be a role model for my children and others in the fitness community.Q: What challenges did you face in balancing motherhood with your demanding fitness career?A: Balancing being a single mom of two boys with a demanding fitness career has been challenging. Time management became crucial, and I had to be very disciplined with my schedule. I also had to give myself grace and know that my schedule would rarely go as planned and to be ok with that. My boys were always my top priority, and I always wanted them to know this and ensure they felt loved and supported. It was a constant juggling act, but my kids are my biggest cheerleaders, and their encouragement kept me going. As a mom, there%u2019s nothing more rewarding than seeing your kids inspired by achieving goals, understanding the discipline required, and then implementing it in their own lives.Q: Can you share the story behind the creation of Unstoppable365?A: Unstoppable365 is my newest passion and was born out of my desire to create a community where people could find the support, motivation, and resources they need to live a healthy and fulfilling life. I wanted to build a platform that goes beyond fitness, addressing all aspects of well-being, including mental health and personal development. Mindset and mental mastery are the foundation of success no matter what your goals are, and I love coaching clients to level up and be unstoppable in every area of life, 365 days a year.Q: What is your approach to maintaining a champion mindset?A: Maintaining a champion mindset involves a combination of mental resilience, positivity, and unwavering determination. I focus on setting clear goals, staying disciplined, and continuously learning and adapting. Visualization techniques and positive affirmations help me stay focused and confident. It%u2019s also important to embrace failures as learning opportunities and keep pushing forward.Q: How do you structure your training and nutrition regimen?A: My training regimen is structured around specific goals, with a mix of strength training, cardio, plyometric exercises, and fitness routine skills. I believe in consistency and making every workout count, but I can get bored easily, so I am constantly changing up my workouts to keep them fun and extremely challenging. Nutrition is equally important; as an extreme athlete, I have to be fueled for workouts and routine practices and follow a balanced diet rich in protein, healthy fats, a high amount of complex carbohydrates, and even some sugars for me. I also ensure I%u2019m getting enough vitamins and minerals to support my intense training. Meal prepping and planning are key to staying on track.Q: What advice do you have for aspiring fitness competitors?A: My advice for aspiring fitness competitors is to stay committed, be patient, and enjoy the journey. Consistency is crucial, so stick to your training and nutrition plans. Don%u2019t be afraid to seek guidance from experienced coaches and mentors. Remember to take care of your mental health and listen to your body to avoid burnout and injuries. Most importantly, believe in yourself and your potential. Remember, this is your chance for creative expression; when you%u2019re having fun on stage, it exudes energy and confidence, and everyone can feel it. That%u2019s the best, most rewarding feeling, so perform the way you want to, and you will absolutely love it.76 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 49
