Q: How do you involve your family in your fitness lifestyle? My husband is incredibly athletic and works out/eats healthy, and my kids are young athletes. We all work out together and educate them about nutrition. We don%u2019t deprive them of anything but teach them how your body uses food as fuel. For the most part, they make good choices, and I always try to provide healthy, protein-heavy meals. Kids learn from what they see, so my husband and I try to be positive examples for them.Q: What are your favorite types of workouts, and why?I used to love cardio and running, but my body always seemed inflamed and injured. With bodybuilding, I have a step goal each day and weight train around five days a week. I absolutely love the strength and muscles I%u2019ve gained. It%u2019s such a good feeling to leave the gym knowing you%u2019ve given it your all.Q: How has being a mother influenced your approach to fitness and health?Fitness and health are like medicine to me. Using health and fitness as a tool for my family will hopefully make their lives better and help them flourish!Q: What are some of the key factors that have contributed to your success as a business owner in the fitness industry? Our business isn%u2019t in the fitness industry, but being a business owner and being into fitness go hand in hand. There%u2019s discipline, structure, and efficiency in both. Everything is done with tenacity and passion, and time is blocked for efficiency when possible. We%u2019ve added a gym to our business, so our employees, my husband, and I can work out at lunch, before, or after work. It%u2019s definitely boosted company morale and is great for everyone.Q: How do you set and achieve your fitness and business goals? We have a couple of family mantras: %u201cHard today, easy tomorrow%u201d and %u201cWe never give up.%u201dQ: What role does community support play in your fitness journey?I couldn%u2019t do any of this without the support of my family, friends, and coach. Their guidance and encouragement help me stay on my path. It%u2019s not easy all the time, but the support of these amazing people makes it possible!Q: What are some of your proudest achievements as an athlete, mom, and business owner? My proudest moment was the first time I stepped on stage. Before I became a bikini athlete, I would%u2019ve never dreamed of confidently walking on the beach in a swimsuit, let alone in front of hundreds of people and being judged under bright lights! Hearing my husband and kids scream my name and cheer for me during my routine was incredible. Afterward, they hugged me so tightly and were so proud of me. They didn%u2019t care if I got a medal or not%u2014they were just happy I did my thing. That moment was truly life-changing for my inner self and confidence. It was like I faced my biggest fear and dominated it!Q: What legacy do you hope to leave for your children and the fitness community?Let nothing hold you back and do what fills your cup. With knowledge and understanding of fitness and nutrition, your body becomes a machine, helping you achieve anything you put your mind to. I overcame incredible insecurities with Bell%u2019s palsy and am flourishing now. I feel the best I%u2019ve felt in years. It%u2019s never too late to get started!NPC Bikini AthleteIG: @Jennenfit66 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 49
