Q: What is the most appealing part of being a firefighter?The most appealing part of being a firefighter is helping people from all walks of life. We usually see people in the worst moments of their lives, giving us the opportunity not only to help but also to shape how they will reflect on that moment later. I think it also gives us a deep understanding that people are people, no matter their background.Q: What are your future goals, both personally and professionally?I currently have my hands pretty full with the fire department and my two kids (9 and 11 years old). They%u2019re both involved in multiple sports and activities, and I want to spend as much time as possible with them as they grow up; that%u2019s my number one priority. I started archery a few years ago, and I look forward to bow-hunting when time allows.Fire department retirement is fast approaching, and I%u2019d like to continue my company, WRX.
