To keep things fun and injury-free during intense training periods, I like to exercise control of the weights through the use of specific tempos and focus on that mind-muscle connection. Plus, who doesn%u2019t love a good massage? Treating myself to a massage every couple of weeks and incorporating regular stretching sessions adds a touch of luxury to my routine while keeping me limber and tension-free. Ultimately, it%u2019s all about finding a balance between pushing yourself to new heights and respecting your body%u2019s limitations. By making prevention and recovery enjoyable, I can continue to stay strong, healthy, and injury-free as I push myself to new limits!Q: How do you handle the mental pressures and stress of competing at a high level?A: Mental game, am I right? When I%u2019m feeling overwhelmed, I remind myself that what seems daunting at first becomes easier with time. And when it comes down to it, I focus on doing my best, not worrying about the outcome. I would not change the path that has led me to where I am today.
