Q: How do you choose the subjects or themes for your pieces?A: The subjects and themes of my pieces often emerge from my personal experiences and interactions with nature. I choose themes that resonate with me on a deep level, whether it%u2019s the rugged beauty of a burnt wood fragment or the ethereal quality of fossilized materials. These themes are a reflection of my ongoing exploration and connection with the natural world.Q: What role does nature play in your artwork, given your extensive use of organic textures?A: Nature plays a central role in my artwork, not only as inspiration but also as a source of materials. The organic textures and forms I use are meant to bring the essence of the natural world into the viewer%u2019s experience, creating a tangible connection with nature. This approach underscores the importance of preserving and appreciating our environment.Q: How do you see your work impacting the spaces in which it is displayed, such as hotels or yachts?A: My work is designed to transform spaces by introducing elements of nature and fostering a sense of tranquility and connection. In places like hotels or yachts, my pieces can create a unique and calming atmosphere, enhancing the overall aesthetic and inviting guests to engage with the artwork on a sensory level. The tactile nature of my pieces encourages interaction, making the space feel more immersive and personal.Q: How do you balance artistic creativity with the business side of being an artist?A: Balancing creativity with the business side of being an artist requires disciplined time management and a clear understanding of both worlds. I allocate specific times for creative work and business tasks, such as marketing, networking, and client communication. Embracing the business aspects allows me to sustain my practice and continue creating unique pieces while maintaining artistic integrity.%u201cThanks to my father I started as a graphic designer and painter,%u201d says Turco. %u201cI grew up with these from the beginning. The key to our success, however, was to believe in interior design firms and architects, rather than art galleries or art collectors. That was very different and unusual for an artist, but it was key.
