Q: How do you define success personally, and how has that definition evolved over time?Success to me is having a purpose in what I do every single day. I do not consider what I do to be a job, I have a purpose and I have a duty to help ensure that my clients reach their goals. Success is having an impact on people%u2019s lives, whether that%u2019s colleagues, clients, family, friends %u2013 that is my purpose. My definition of success has not evolved, but rather the effort that I put in to achieve it, has. I found that my success with my clients, and in life, is more than just what I achieve in the office. What I do outside of the office is crucial to my success day in and day out. Waking up at 4:30am every single day to make sure I can get to the gym, read, and go to church before I get to the office at 8am is my morning routine, which keeps me grounded, motivated, and grateful. advisor.morganstanley.com/the-taylor-groupJames TaylorMOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 45 39
