This mindset acknowledges that improvement is a cornerstone of success in all aspects of life, whether it%u2019s in fitness, career, relationships, or personal development.Each year, I set clear goals for myself and continuously review or adjust them to align with my evolving priorities. When I achieve a goal, the feeling of accomplishment is all the fuel I need to continue pushing and progressing!Q: What%u2019s your favorite aspect of the fitness lifestyle outside of competition?One of the most rewarding aspects of the fitness lifestyle outside competition is the profound emphasis on overall health and well-being. Beyond the thrill of competition, prioritizing health becomes a fundamental pillar of daily life.For me, my favorite aspect lies in knowing that every workout, every nutritious meal, and every moment of selfcare is an investment in my long-term vitality. It means that my body is functioning optimally, from my metabolism to my blood sugar levels, reducing the risk of various chronic diseases and promoting longevity. It%u2019s recognizing that physical fitness isn%u2019t just about aesthetics or performance; it%u2019s about nurturing my body and mind for a fulfilling and vibrant life.Q: What are your goals and aspirations for the future of your competitive career?My primary goal for the future of my competitive career is to earn my pro card. Achieving this milestone would signify a significant accomplishment in my athletic journey and open up new opportunities for growth and advancement in my chosen sport.Beyond that, I plan to continue my education in all things health, fitness, and nutrition. I%u2019m passionate about constantly expanding my knowledge and expertise in these areas, as they form the foundation of both my personal journey and my aspirations to help others lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.KellyQ: What inspired you to pursue competitive fitness?A: My competitive journey began as a personal quest for empowerment after overcoming the challenges of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Initially hesitant due to insecurities, I found renewed motivation through the support of my husband and the desire to challenge myself further. Competing has been transformative, teaching me that we are capable of far more than we imagine.Looking ahead, I aim to continue progressing in my competitive career, striving to earn a pro card while using my platform to educate and empower others. My goals extend beyond the stage%u2014I aspire to become certified as a NASM trainer and specialize in pre and postpartum fitness, leveraging my experiences to guide and support others on their health and fitness journeys.However, I acknowledge the challenges ahead, particularly overcoming imposter syndrome on the national stage. While standing among remarkable competitors, I%u2019m working on building confidence in my own accomplishments and embracing the journey, knowing that every step forward is a victory in itself.
