Yet when injuries sidelined her gymnastics career, Jen promptly joined a local health club in pursuit of other fitness goals. Her first job in high school was working at a gym, and she then continued to train clients and instruct group fitness class throughout college. While she has always loved working out, there was a time when she found herself severely off track. About ten years ago, after suffering the sudden loss of her best friend, she was sidetracked from her health & fitness goals. Jen ended up gaining nearly 50 pounds and had a body fat percentage of over 35%. This lasted for a couple of years. Fortunately, she was reminded that she needed to place her own health & fitness as a priority once again and set a solid example for her clients. Slowly but surely she embraced a healthier approach to food, workouts and gradually earned lasting results through a balanced approach to her fitness.Perhaps surprisingly, Jen hasn%u2019t always worked in the field of fitness. In fact, after she completed her Bachelor%u2019s in both Marketing and Public Relations from California State University, Sacramento, she took a brief detour from her work in fitness.
