While living in a typical suburban home, Lindsey was exposed to arts through museums, music venues, and theater. %u201cIf I did not have such a large city accessible to me and the family and friends who exposed me to it, I am not sure if I would have pursued a career in the arts.%u201dAn active young Lindsey spent all her time in the pool. She began swimming at the age of five and continued through high school, to include water polo during the swimming off season. Glad to participate in sports, %u201cIt instilled a great set of core values about consistent, diligent training.%u201d The actress also appreciated, %u201cBeing part of a team, mental and physical endurance and laying the foundation to take care of my body.%u201d The moment the actor stopped swimming she found herself depressed, recognizing that it was the physical activity and team community she was missing. Never naturally fit or athletic she was not a thin girl, always average if not a little bit on the chunkier side. %u201cI remember hitting the awesome age of thirteen and being very emotional, I used being active and art as a way of expressing myself.%u201d As a result of an active lifestyle, she maintained a generous appetite. Without a natural prowess or athleticism of her brother or father, %u201cI had to work tirelessly at it, but I enjoyed it, so I stuck to it.%u201d This steadfast determination has made her the person she is today. Lindsey attended college at the University of Texas in Austin on a scholarship, and majored in theater. At the start of her sophomore year, the course of the budding thespians%u2019 life would take a radical turn. At the behest of her professors, she began to explore the world of film. This gentle encouragement would become one of the best advice she could have been given. She got her first agent in Austin and started going on various commercial auditions. As luck would have it, she auditioned for the part of a series regular on Friday Night Lights. She got extremely close to landing the role, as surprising as it was, having little or no experience. This opportunity would give her the encouragement and na%u00efve confidence to set her sights on Los Angeles. She secured an internship with an acting company in LA for a summer. The actress quickly realized, %u201cI was learning so much about the industry and getting so much more hands on experience in Los Angeles than I was in Texas.%u201d By: Denise Smith>>>
