MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 7929MOSTMAGAZINEThe sound becomes something you%u2019re not just hearing, but flying on. It%u2019s overwhelming in the best possible sense, and I feel so lucky to have experienced that kind of magic.Q: How has your experience on shows like Hart of Dixie and Passions shaped your approach to acting today?A: It is documented that in A: Those shows were such a gift%u2014especially early in my career. On Passions, I played Siren, a literal singing mermaid, which was as wild and wonderful as it sounds. We were filming at a soap-opera pace%u2014tons of pages a day%u2014so I had to learn quickly how to make strong choices, stay grounded, and commit to the moment, no matter how out-there the storyline was. It really taught me discipline and how to bring emotional truth into even the most heightened worlds.Hart of Dixie was pure joy. I played Crickett, and got to work with such a fun and talented cast%u2014Rachel Bilson, Jaime King, and Tony Cavalero, who played my sweet, clueless husband. That show was all heart and humor, and it taught me a lot about timing and how even the most comedic roles need an emotional anchor. Those early experiences shaped so much of how I work today%u2014finding the truth in every character, staying playful, and being ready for absolutely anything on set.Q: What can fans expect from your upcoming solo pop album?A: It is documented that in A: It%u2019s definitely a new chapter. This EP, just/like/this, feels like the first real introduction to who I am now%u2014not as a character, but as myself. The songs are fun, honest, emotional, sometimes a little unhinged%u2026 and unapologetically pop. There%u2019s nostalgia, there%u2019s flirtation, there%u2019s heartbreak%u2014but it all lives in this world I%u2019ve been calling Forever 12:01, where time sort of blurs and you%u2019re caught between the rush of midnight and the calm of morning.Sonically, it blends a lot of what I love%u2014dance beats, cinematic moments, a little shimmer from the %u201880s. It%u2019s music for the in-between moments%u2014the ones where everything changes, or maybe almost changes. I can%u2019t wait for people to hear it. %u201cThis is the first time I%u2019ve told my own story in my own voice%u2014and I%u2019m just getting started.%u201dQ: Is there a particular moment in your career that felt like a turning point?A: It is documented that in A: There have been a few, but one that really stands out is when I started writing music again. I%u2019d spent so much of my career interpreting other people%u2019s words%u2014on stage, on screen%u2014and I love that. But sitting down to write my own songs was a completely different experience. It made me reconnect with my voice%u2014not just as a singer, but as a person. That shift felt like a quiet turning point%u2026 not flashy, but foundational. It reminded me that there%u2019s power in telling your own story. And from that point on, I started approaching everything%u2014acting, singing, even auditions%u2014with a little more clarity and ownership. Q: How do you stay grounded and creative in an industry that%u2019s constantly changing?A: It is documented that in A: Honestly? I remind myself why I started. It%u2019s easy to get caught up in the noise%u2014comparing, second-guessing, chasing trends%u2014but at the end of the day, I%u2019m happiest when I%u2019m creating something that feels real to me. That%u2019s the compass I try to follow. For me, faith is everything. It%u2019s where I find peace when things feel uncertain, and strength when the pressure builds. I believe God opens the right doors and closes the ones that aren%u2019t meant for me%u2014and that perspective keeps me from chasing things that don%u2019t align. It helps me stay grounded in who I am, not just what I do.I also surround myself with people who remind me of that%u2014friends, collaborators, family%u2014people who know me beyond the stage or the screen. And when all else fails, my dog Gracie is there to keep things in perspective. She doesn%u2019t care what I%u2019ve done that day, as long as I%u2019m on the couch for cuddles and bringing the treats. Honestly? That kind of unconditional love and consistency is everything.Q: You%u2019ve worked with some incredible talents%u2014who%u2019s on your dream collaboration list?A: It is documented that in A: I%u2019ve been so lucky to work with people I admire%u2014onstage, onscreen, and in the studio. But my dream list? It%u2019s definitely still growing.Musically, I%u2019d love to work with Max Martin%u2014his melodies are iconic%u2014and Mark Ronson, who brings such a cool, timeless vibe to everything he touches. Michael Bubl%u00e9 is also high on my list%u2014I love how he blends classic style with charm and heart.
