HOW DO YOU BALANCE LEARNING FROM OTHERS WHILE MAINTAINING YOUR OWN IDENTITY?A: It%u2019s all about having a well-trained eye. Years of studying images have given me an internal visual database of artistic references. When I create, I instinctively draw upon this wealth of knowledge, blending influences in a way that feels natural and unique to my style. Having a deep understanding of various artistic approaches actually makes it easier to develop an original voice. Q: WHAT%u2019S NEXT FOR YOU? DO YOU HAVE ANY UPCOMING PROJECTS OR NEW ADDITIONS TO MASTERING THE MASTERS?A: Every day brings new creative ideas and inspirations. Right now, I%u2019m exploring the integration of AI into my work%u2014not as a replacement for photography but as a complementary tool. I%u2019m curious about how AI can enhance the creative workflow while keeping the essence of true photographic artistry intact.Q: WHAT%u2019S THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU SEE BEGINNER PHOTOGRAPHERS MAKE, AND HOW CAN THEY OVERCOME IT?A: One of the biggest mistakes I made early on%u2014and one I see in many beginners%u2014is not developing a trained eye. If you don%u2019t study the work of great masters and understand the artistic foundations of fine art photography, how can you expect to create compelling images? I realized this early and decided to pause shooting for two years to focus entirely on studying photography, analyzing the best artists, and learning their secrets. When I returned to photography, I was far more prepared to create meaningful work. Q: IF YOU COULD ONLY TEACH ONE LESSON TO YOUR STUDENTS, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?A: Find a mentor whose work deeply inspires you and learn everything you can from them%u2014their mindset, creative choices, and approach to imagery. Then, take those lessons and infuse them with your own personal vision to create something truly unique. Q: DIGITAL COMPOSITION IS A KEY PART OF YOUR TEACHINGS. WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS PHOTOGRAPHERS NEED TO MASTER IT?A: Creativity comes first. Having a strong imagination and a trained eye allows you to see possibilities that others might overlook. Of course, mastering compositing also requires technical proficiency. Understanding the work of influential artists and studying their methods is essential for achieving seamless, high-quality compositions.
