A: I was in Argentina, trying to get my life and career back on track, and just when things were looking good%u2026 COVID happened. Funny story %u2014 I was actually in the club the night before the mass panic started. Nobody took COVID seriously until the next day. That%u2019s when reality hit. We got a message from the team president that we%u2019d be flying out within a few hours. He said Argentina was shutting down and they didn%u2019t want us getting stuck there.Being home during the pandemic was mind-boggling. It was a constant %u201cwhat%u2019s next?%u201d kind of thing. Is this going to be life now? How will I pay my bills? My agent told me basketball was canceled indefinitely. That pressure really affected me and the mother of my kids. You%u2019d think it would bring us together, but instead we grew apart at a time when we needed each other the most.The only good thing was being able to spend time with my family. And thankfully, I got into stocks and crypto early, which helped me stay afloat during that uncertain time. Q: YOUR MOVE TO IBIZA CHANGED YOUR LIFE IN UNEXPECTED WAYS. WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE ISLAND? A: When I moved to Ibiza, my first impression was: Wow %u2014 this looks even better than the pictures! It was incredibly beautiful. There were so many people, I couldn%u2019t believe I%u2019d never heard about this place before. Q: SPEAKING OF YOUR WIFE, YOU MOVED IN TOGETHER AFTER JUST A WEEK. THAT%u2019S A BOLD MOVE! WHAT MADE YOU SO SURE? A: My intention in going to Ibiza was definitely not to fall in love %u2014 haha. You don%u2019t go to Ibiza to fall in love%u2026 if you know what I mean. But strangely, I did! I was there for only a week before I met my wife. We met casually %u2014 she was a longtime friend of one of my newly made friends on the island.I never believed in love at first sight, but I%u2019m here to tell you %u2014 it%u2019s real. It felt like we%u2019d known each other forever. Everything was so smooth and natural, we were honestly scared, wondering if it was too good to be true. We moved in together after a week because we believed there are no rules when it comes to love. If you find it, you have to go after it. Don%u2019t follow others %u2014 follow your own journey.
