18 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 70MOSTMAGAZINEHOW DID YOUR PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY FIRST DEVELOP?My passion began with a roll camera I won in a drawing contest in elementary school. Later, photography reappeared during high school in one of my courses, where I even had the chance to make my own camera. I absolutely loved that experience. WHAT DREW YOU TO FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY SPECIFICALLY?The unlimited possibilities of experimenting and creating. I love the challenge of telling a story in just a few frames.HOW HAS YOUR BACKGROUND IN COMMUNICATION AND CINEMA SHAPED YOUR APPROACH TO PHOTOGRAPHY?I%u2019ve realized that cinema requires time to narrate and evoke emotions, whereas photography captures a single moment that conveys a story. This perspective has helped me focus on capturing that fleeting second that tells everything. WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO LEAVE UNAM AND PURSUE PHOTOGRAPHY FULL-TIME?It was a decision I still consider somewhat hasty, but it has paid off well. I don%u2019t regret it. Primarily, I wanted to find my own path and identity as an artist, and above all, gain real-world experience. In this field, hands-on experience often outweighs academic titles in many jobs. WHAT EXCITES YOU MOST ABOUT TAKING ON A PRODUCER ROLE IN YOUR PROJECTS?Bringing an idea or dream to life. Overcoming obstacles and mishaps while proving to myself and my team that with focus and collaboration, we can always get the job done. WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION FOR YOUR FASHION AND CAMPAIGN SHOOTS?My inspiration comes from Mexican art and painting, but also from my personal experiences. Everything I see and feel plays a role, as does cinema and the emotions a film evokes in me.WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS YOUR WORK APART IN MEXICO%u2019S FASHION SCENE?Some colleagues describe my work as %u201cromantic and gothic,%u201d and others say it has a timeless quality. That%u2019s exactly what I aim for: creating something that transcends specific decades while remaining relevant. Ironically, this approach is somewhat counter-intuitive, as fashion itself is ever-changing%u2014more like a flowing river of lava than something rigid. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE PROJECT SO FAR?A trip I took alone to a Mexican beach on the Oaxaca coast, in Puerto Escondido, where fashion photog, raphy had never been done before. It was a challenge to create and produce there, but the results turned out to be some of my best work.WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED AS A YOUNG CREATIVE, AND HOW HAVE YOU OVER- COME THEM?Sometimes, people assume that being young means being irresponsible, and as a result, they don%u2019t act responsibly toward you. Thankfully, this has only happened a few times, and I%u2019ve learned valuable lessons from those experiences. Being legally informed, maintaining a positive attitude, and staying receptive to constructive criticism have helped me a lot.WHAT ARE YOUR ASPIRATIONS FOR THE FUTURE OF YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY CAREER?I want to work with international clients regularly, explore new places, and collaborate with people I admire. I also hope to support and mentor future talents. The goal is not just to grow individually but to help others grow alongside me.helloisboris.wixsite.com/albertogaliciagIG: @albertogalicia_g18 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 70
