Q: What inspired your transition from traditional photography to exploring artificial intelligence and AI-generated art?A: My transition from traditional photography to AI-generated art was influenced by my nomadic lifestyle and family history, starting with my grandfather%u2019s studio photography in Okinawa and my father%u2019s hobbyist photography in Argentina. This shaped my journey from a childhood hobbyist to a professional film photographer in Japan, later transitioning to digital photography in the USA. Now, I%u2019m back in Argentina, exploring and experimenting with the potential of AI. Although I%u2019ve always been passionate about capturing the world through my lens, I became fascinated by AI%u2019s potential to create entirely new and imaginative images.Q: Can you describe what %u201cpromptography%u201d is and what excites you about combining AI with photorealism?A: Photography captures existing reality, interpreting and framing moments to evoke emotion or tell a story. Promptography, on the other hand, allows us to create entirely new realities from within. We can imagine a scene, a character, or a world, and then use AI to bring it to life in a photorealistic way. It%u2019s a powerful tool for expressing creativity and imagination. The beauty of promptography lies in its ability to bridge the gap between the physical and digital, letting us explore the infinite possibilities of the human mind.MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 64 19
