Q: You%u2019re currently converting a bus into an RV with plans to travel the country. What inspired this adventure, and how does it tie into your love for fitness and exploration?A. Yes! I bought a bus this past spring and am currently working on the conversion. Growing up in Vermont, the winters are very long, dark, and cold, and it has become apparent that I%u2019d like to eventually live in a warmer climate. Having not been to many other states in the U.S. or knowing where we%u2019d want to move, I was inspired by a TV show to buy an RV, travel the country, and see where we end up. From there, the idea of doing a bus conversion was introduced to us by my brother, and after watching a bunch of YouTube videos, it quickly became our dream.Q: What are you most looking forward to during your RV travels? Are there any specific places or experiences on your bucket list?A. I%u2019ve always wanted to travel more, and I%u2019m excited to explore different cities, visit new gyms across the country, and go to national parks to see the beauty this country has to offer. I%u2019m really just looking forward to exploring, having a different sense of freedom, living life simply, and as it comes, without being on a strict schedule.Q: As someone who has been dedicated to fitness for so many years, what advice would you give to those just starting their bodybuilding or fitness journey?A. My advice to someone just starting in fitness or bodybuilding would be to avoid looking for shortcuts. When it comes to building muscle and reshaping your body, there are no shortcuts. Find a coach who you can trust to have your best interest and health in mind and help you learn while guiding you to be better. If you follow a plan and put in the work, you will change. Hard work also pays off, but it doesn%u2019t happen overnight. Be patient, be consistent, and enjoy the process because that%u2019s what it%u2019s all about.Q: You%u2019ve participated in a variety of sports. How has that diverse athletic background influenced your approach to bodybuilding?A. I think my diverse athletic background has influenced my approach to bodybuilding positively because I know what hard work feels like. I%u2019m in tune with my body because of it, and it taught me how to push beyond my limits and endure temporary discomfort for a greater outcome, which is exactly what bodybuilding is all about.MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 63 69
