Q: How did you prepare for your role as a homemaker in GUNNER, especially considering the emotional intensity of the character%u2019s journey?A: It was surprisingly natural because, as a woman, the protective instinct toward children is deeply ingrained. It%u2019s something intuitive, much like how a mother bear instinctively protects her cubs%u2014an impulse that spans across all species.Q: What was it like working alongside industry legends like Luke Hemsworth and Morgan Freeman in GUNNER?A: Unfortunately, I didn%u2019t have any scenes with Mr. Freeman, but working with Luke was a fantastic experience. He%u2019s a professional and well-prepared actor who was easy to collaborate with%u2014an excellent scene partner.Q: How did your multicultural background influence your portrayal of characters in films like Cold War and Captors?A: The emotional depth in each film was profound. My multicultural background allowed me to tap into a diverse range of emotions, enriching my performances and bringing an authentic complexity to the characters.Q: What drew you to the psychological thriller Captors, and how did you approach your character in that film?A: I was drawn to the role because of its dual nature, portraying both Alys and her alter ego, Twisted Alys. To prepare, I researched dissociative identity disorder and the experiences of individuals who have faced sexual exploitation. These are sensitive topics that deserve more attention in today%u2019s society, and I approached them with great care.Q:: You%u2019ve worked with top industry producers like Greg Lawson and Cory Rooney. How did these collaborations shape your music career?A: Working with such accomplished artists was an incredible honor. I learned so much from them, and these collaborations have significantly enhanced my skills in songwriting and producing.Q: Can you tell us more about the inspiration behind the soundtrack theme you wrote for Captors, %u201cCan Anybody Hear Me?%u201dA: I co-wrote the song with John Ho and Jimmy Burney. I brought them the theme and story details, and I was eager to include the lyric %u201cCan anybody hear me?%u201d because Alys, the character in the film, is going through intense trauma and is desperately seeking to be heard.Q: What challenges did you face transitioning from acting to music and production, and how have you overcome them?A: Though acting and music are distinct, they share many similarities. Learning the business and production side of music has given me a deeper appreciation for the effort involved in creating a single song. While films require a large crew, music often comes down to just an artist, a producer, and a recording engineer. I%u2019ve enjoyed learning from talented people in both fields. I actually started singing before acting, and to me, they%u2019re interconnected%u2014both storytelling mediums.Q: How has your experience in print modeling and commercial work in the European market influenced your acting career?A: My modeling experience has definitely been an asset in my acting. Understanding how to move in front of the camera, knowing my best angles, and working with photographers who are also storytellers has taught me how to be more effective in film scenes.12 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 60
