How has your multicultural heritage helped you with your projects around the globe?RS: My heritage has enriched my taste, sense, self being, planning a photo-shoot I add a new dimension a new touch in the concept and execution that can go far beyond the images.FMM: Do you believe through fashion people can speak a common language all across the world?RS: Oh yeah, fashion is a medium of expression similar to photography, a language that goes far beyond the alphabet.FMM: You ever do your own styling for the shoots? If so, which ones?RS: I%u2019ve done soooo many, especially when I started, since I needed to build my portfolio and I was everything, creative and art director, stylist, assistant, photographer, makeup artist, everything except the model of course.FMM: Do you have a preference for a location e.g. indoors, outdoors, city, coastal? RS: I love outdoors, since I went outside the studio the first time, I rarely come back in, I have a %u2018love hate%u2019 relationship with the studio, because I love the outdoors, it can express more, the scenery, background, elements all play a big role in my photography and location selection.FMM: What kind of gear do you use?RS: I use Canon 5D MIII and prime lens (35mm, 50mm, 85mm Sigma)Hasselblad 500c Film 85 mm, for my own satisfactionFMM: Which is your favorite lens? Why?RS: The new 85 mm portrait art lens from Sigma, it%u2019s the best price, quality and outcome, especially in low light and ambient light.FMM: Where do you look for inspirations? RS: Inspiration, I have written a whole articleabout inspiration in my blog:www.RSphotography.co/blog-2/ I personally get inspired from the streets and especially the ones of Paris; I simply fall in love, the amount of art, architecture, beauty, colors and history.
