12 || FASHION MAGAZINE || FEBRUARY 2015FMM: You are an award winning photographer, creative director, writer, producer / fashion film director and to our huge surprise you also pose for the camera. How do you manage your time and where do you get all these talents from? VP: I am a very organized person and I believe that anything can be accomplished if you set your goals high. Being at school I was always involved in extra curriculum activities. I don%u2019t ever remember wandering aimlessly or just watching TV for hours and doing nothing. I was always busy, looking up to the scientists who changed the world, to the top musicians, designers %u2013 you kind of envy their accomplishments, but then you realize there is actually a lot you can do yourself with a little bit of effort and belief. Once you stop yourself from finding excuses, the sky is the limit. My personal strategy is based on making small steps and steadily progressing. I have photography books lying on the dining table that I read while I eat, then I have industry photo magazines that lay on the living room table and I browse through them while I watch TV. I have my workflow organized on my computer so then I check emails while I edit the images and my sketchpad is next to me, so I can write down ideas. Every year I order a black moleskin organizer, where I plan every single day making sure I%u2019m meeting my targets, not missing any meetings, etc. I do work pretty much 24/7 and even in my sleep I%u2019m coming up with some new concepts and all because I%u2019m very passionate about my craft. Being very critical, I always try to do better than I did yesterday. By accepting your flaws, you grow and become better %u2013 that is my goal %u2013 to be the best I can be.FMM: What inspires you to also model?VP: I started modelling when I was 16 and participated in Miss Petite Teen International Model Contest. I won 3rd place and Best Model award. The experience of being in front of the camera gave me valuable feedback on how it actually feels to be a model, how to art direct my own photo shoots and communicate ideas to the photographer.
