How has your personal fitness journey evolved over the years?Over the years, I%u2019ve made it a point to ask questions and learn from the various coaches I%u2019ve worked with, while also doing my own research on different training styles and nutrition techniques. This has allowed me to experiment with a variety of methods to find what works best for my body and which foods help me thrive. With new studies constantly emerging in the fitness field, my journey continues to evolve as I%u2019m always striving to improve how I look and feel. How do you stay motivated to maintain your fitness goals?Let%u2019s be honest%u2014we all go through phases of feeling unmotivated. But for me, it%u2019s all about discipline and keeping my routine. Structure is what keeps me on track. If I find myself getting bored or losing motivation, I switch things up. Instead of hitting the gym, I%u2019ll try a fitness class, do something active outdoors, or find a new way to stay moving. Keeping things fresh helps me stay engaged. How do you balance your personal life with your professional life?Balance is about being flexible and planning ahead. I always review my upcoming week to see what%u2019s on the calendar and then schedule my training, cardio, and free meals around that. On busier days, I%u2019ll plan a rest day or train early in the morning, even if it means getting up before sunrise. Having a plan in place makes all the difference. How do you incorporate rest and recovery into your training regimen?Rest and recovery are critical for me, and sleep is a big part of that. I aim for at least eight hours of sleep each night because I know that%u2019s when I feel and function my best. In addition to sleep, I prioritize stretching, regular chiropractic care, and bodywork to stay in peak condition. What have been some of the biggest challenges you%u2019ve faced in your fitness career? One of the biggest challenges I%u2019ve faced is helping those close to me understand my fitness lifestyle. I didn%u2019t grow up with family or friends who were into health and fitness, let alone competing. Explaining why I prioritize the gym, eat certain foods, or bring my own meals to events has sometimes been more frustrating than the actual training or dieting. Even after eight years of competing, they still don%u2019t fully get it, but they%u2019ve come to accept it as part of who I am, especially during competition prep. How do you see your career evolving in the next few years? In the next few years, I hope to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally, while working on creating even better balance in my life. What message do you hope to convey through your social media platforms?I aim to spread positivity and keep it real. There are so many people online who create a false sense of reality, but for me, what you see is what you get.Do you have a favorite fitness brand or designer?Right now, Darc Sport is my go-to brand. They consistently promote positive messages and have a great imageWhat new training methods have you recently incorporated?Recently, I%u2019ve added jogging to my routine. While it%u2019s definitely challenging since I%u2019m not a natural runner, it%u2019s satisfying once I push through. It%u2019s a great way to mix things up.What tips do you have for staying healthy and injury-free in the long term?Listen to your body and find balance in life and nutrition. Train smart, and never underestimate the importance of rest and recovery. Going hard seven days a week without rest won%u2019t get you to your goals faster%u2014it will just burn you out and put unnecessary strain on your body.InterviewExclusive64 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 58
