                                    CONTEST HISTORY2012 - 2024By: Darcy MehtaEARLY CAREERBorn on November 22, 1988, in Akron, Ohio, Ashley developed a passion for sports early in life, beginning gymnastics training at the age of four. Her athletic prowess extended beyond gymnastics; she was also a track and field athlete. While competing at Coventry High School, she participated in the 300-meter hurdles and broke over seven track and cross-country records, all of which still stand. In college, she competed in the 400-meter hurdles. She credits her slim and athletic physique to her gymnastics practice during high school, noting that her glutes developed during her sports years, providing a solid foundation for her bodybuilding career even before she started lifting weights. Her exceptional performance in sports earned her a track scholarship to a Division I college.After graduating from college, Ashley discovered the bikini division in bodybuilding shows. Inspired by what she saw on stage and bored with her monotonous daily routine, she decided to try her hand at the sport. She made her stage debut at the Arnold Amateur and quickly realized she had what it took to succeed in the competitive bodybuilding circuit.DEDICATION TO EXCELLENCE AND ONGOING ACHIEVEMENTSIn 2021, Ashley had the busiest year of her competitive career, participating in 14 shows, roughly translating to one show a month. She is likely the only former Olympia champion to compete so frequently. Known for her rigorous training regimen, Ashley trains six days a week and takes one day off from the gym to allow her body time to rest and recuperate.SOCIAL MEDIA PROMINENCELike many other champions, Kaltwasser is active on social media. As of August 2024, she has 989K followers on Instagram, 690K on Facebook, over 45.5K on TikTok, and over 67K subscribers to her YouTube channel. She posts regularly on her social media, including workout videos and fan Q&As. Her instructional content and personal journey are a testament to the fitness community.FUTURE GOALSDespite being blessed with great genetics, Ashley%u2019s success is also a result of her hard work and persistence.
