Born in the Sierra mountains of Incline Village, Nevada in 1981, Theodore Demolski%u2019s ancestors were from Danzig, Poland. Danzig at the time was a free port near the Baltic Sea and the family%u2019s German roots remained strong carrying the Demolski name. His father lived in Sylt, a small German island in the North Sea where he was as a brick and stone mason, eventually perfecting his craft as a Master Mason. That tradition was carried forward by Demolski who went beyond by exploring wood working, concrete forms, metal, and eventually cold work glass. It was through this exploration that Demolski transitioned a lifetime of skilled trade into a fine art form.Captivated with glass and other modern materials since he was a child, Demolski%u2019s curiosity was the basis of his journey as an artist. The transformation of the elements allows him to create a better understanding of the planet, life, and the universe that surrounds us. His vision is heavily influenced by nature and geometry and the desire to explore the limits of the materials he uses in his art. He finds inspiration in the shapes, patterns and textures of nature, compelling him to recreate those influences in his glass art.114 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 50TED DEMOLSKI
