EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH NICOLE KOTLERQ: One of your missions is to empower other women, how do you intend to do that?I am committed to empowering women in the sports industry by creating an inclusive environment. My overall goal is to mentor and guide women who want to enter finance, sports, or any other male-dominated industry by providing them with the resources and encouragement that they need to thrive in their careers. Q: How many athletes are you currently representing (Pro/College)?As the Director of Sports Marketing, I work alongside my colleagues at Grady Sports Agency with many of our clients. Grady Sports Agency as a whole represents a total of 26 clients (under the pro/college umbrella). In addition, the agency represents 20+ non-exclusive clients, and multiple brands that we facilitate marketing campaigns on behalf of. Q: How do you stay motivated at work?My motivation stems from the opportunity to leave a positive impact on the lives of the individuals I have the privilege to work with. The ever-evolving landscape of the sports industry adds an exciting dimension to my work, constantly presenting new challenges and opportunities for growth. Lastly, knowing that I have the opportunity to pursue my passion each day is a blessing, one that I do not take for granted, especially considering the contrast to a time when I found myself in a job that brought me no fulfillment. Reflecting on that journey, I am grateful to now be living my passion, making every moment very rewarding. Furthermore, I am fortunate to collaborate with exceptional people at Grady Sports Agency, where mutual respect and encouragement are not just values but daily practices, making our collective pursuit all the more exciting and fulfilling.Q: Share with us one of your greatest achievements? One of the pinnacle achievements in my career journey was the culmination of my dedication and perseverance in graduating from my Master%u2019s of Law program in December 2023. Embarking on this endeavor, I committed myself to a demanding schedule, balancing full-time academic pursuits with an equally demanding full-time professional role. The journey spanned about a year and a half. The moment that meant everything to me was when I walked across the stage to receive my degree. This achievement stands as a testament to my ability to thrive under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain a steadfast focus on my goals amidst challenges. It serves as a cornerstone in my journey, instilling in me a profound sense of fulfillment and propelling me forward with confidence in my capabilities. Q: What do you see yourself accomplishing in two to five years? If I am being truthful, I am not one to think too much about what I want to accomplish far out in the future. Of course, I have ambitions and goals of who I want to be and what I want to become, however, I have learned that for me specifically, putting my head down and just working will get me to where I can%u2019t even think of in my wildest dreams. Of course, I know this may not work for everyone, and a lot of people say that having a 5 or 10 year plan helps you stay goal oriented. For me, I want to make an impact within the sports industry, I want to foster meaningful relationships with the people I work with, as well as the brands I create partnerships with, and ultimately help Grady Sports clients build their personal brands. Lastly, I hope to inspire other women to keep trailblazing male-dominated industries, because we offer a unique perspective that is very much needed in this space and other male-dominated industries.56 MOST MAGAZINE - ISSUE 45
